Khris Johnson from @greenbenchbrewing was invited to tour Czechia to learn the Czech way of brewing and sample the wares throughout the country. As a result, Khris makes a number of Czech-style beers in his lineup. Pohlednice is our favorite Czech-style pale lager in the country. The year after Khris went, Bierstadt head brewer Ashleigh Carter was invited. So it became necessary to join forces and make a Czech 11.5 - not really traditional, but our own destiny - precise like a German but with Czech sensibilities and ingredients. Under modified raven malt from Czechia along with Saaz hops and triple decoction make up this beer along with a Czech yeast strain.
